National Nurses Week

Florence Nightingale, born in 1820 and considered the founder of modern nursing, established the first secular nursing school in 1860. The American Nurses Association celebrated National Nurses Week 2024 May 6th-May 12th. This year’s theme “Nurses Make the Difference” honors them during this week and throughout the month of May. Join us in taking a moment to say thank you to all the nurses that play a vital role in many different settings, especially in our field of healthcare. They show care and compassion making contributions worldwide to the field of nursing. Cape Radiology Group would like to acknowledge the extraordinary nurses who are a part of our organization.

Dr. Kevin Rice receives American College of Radiology (ACR) Honor.

May 6, 2023

Recently, Dr. Rice accepted his award for Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR) at the annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

According to the ACR, "One of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a member in good standing is recognition as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR). ACR Fellows demonstrate a history of service to the College, organized radiology, teaching, and/or research. Only 15 percent of current ACR members have been awarded this honor.

FACR is awarded to diagnostic radiologists, radiation oncologists, interventional radiologists, medical physicists, and nuclear medicine physicians at the convocation ceremony held during the ACR Annual Meeting.

The honor of Fellow of the American College of Radiology is conferred on members who have been approved and elected by the ACR Board of Chancellors."

National Radiologic Technology Week

November 6-12, 2022

National Radiologic Technology Week (NRTW®) is celebrated annually to recognize the vital work of registered radiologic technologists (R.T.s) across the nation. It always takes place during the week of November 8th to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in 1895. Cape Radiology Group wishes to acknowledge the importance of R.T.s during this week and throughout the year. We have a great appreciation for the caring attitude and professionalism they display every day. This year’s theme “Aiming to Heal” represents the dedication and role our technologists play as an essential part in the health care experience of our patients. Each year our office likes to celebrate these employees by hosting a lunch in their honor. Thank you to our team and all the medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals! #NRTW22
