An Interventional Radiology (IR) Clinic offers the opportunity for a consultation in an office setting. The allotted time can range from 30 minutes to an hour. During the visit, an interventional radiologist will review your medical history, assess prior diagnostic testing and surgical history, and discuss treatment options. If you are a candidate for an IR procedure, it will be scheduled at a nearby hospital. Educational materials and instructions will be reviewed prior to the procedure. Afterwards you may be seen in the IR Clinic for follow-up or post-procedure care evaluating whether further treatments are needed. All interventional care is a collaborative approach with the patient's referring primary or specialty clinician.
